This elegant pair of pale sage green Wedgwood jasperware candlesticks showcases the refined neoclassical style that has defined the brand since the 18th century. Crafted from unglazed porcelain with a soft matte finish, each candlestick features crisp white reliefs of two Muses standing between trees and stylized foliage—a design rooted in classical mythology. A scroll-and-flower border encircles the base, with a delicate leaf band trimming the column tops.
Both pieces are marked “WEDGWOOD” on the underside and impressed with a letter “T,” likely a workman’s mark, along with the number 6. The fine detail and craftsmanship are consistent with Wedgwood's 19th to early 20th century production.
This rare pair makes a sophisticated statement on a dining table, mantle, or shelf and is highly sought after by collectors.
