Tiffany & Co. Crystal Decanter + Sterling Silver Tray Set — c. 1870–1891

A rare and striking three-piece set from Tiffany & Co., dating to the late 19th century. The set includes a cut crystal decanter with a sterling silver stopper and a pair of square sterling trays — all crafted in the floral repoussé pattern #8677, a hallmark of Tiffany’s Aesthetic Movement designs between 1870 and 1891.

The decanter features deeply cut crosshatch crystal and a substantial sterling floral stopper. The base is marked #385, and the stopper is numbered #9. Though the decanter shows some signs of age — including a few chips along the base and stopper, and a chip at the lip — it remains a show stopping piece of early American silver and barware history.

The pair of matching sterling trays mirror the same ornate repoussé floral border and bear elegant script monograms at center with the initials ALH. One tray has a minor dent, and both show gentle surface wear consistent with use and age. A comparable Tiffany lidded bowl in this same pattern recently sold for over $5,000, underscoring the significance of this rare, collectible design.
