This elegant pair of antique Porcelaine de Paris lamps features finely embossed white porcelain with raised floral and trellis motifs inspired by blanc de chine and early Chinese export designs. Crafted in France in the late 19th to early 20th century, these pieces reflect the refined decorative traditions of Parisian porcelain.
Each porcelain body is mounted on an ornate gilded bronze base with a solid brass interior, giving the lamps excellent weight, stability, and long-lasting construction. Originally produced as decorative vessels, they were later converted into lamps — a common and highly sought-after adaptation for French porcelain of this era.
The lamps are paired with original custom silk shades made for Jones & Jones of New Orleans, adding a unique layer of Southern provenance. The shades show light wear on the interior consistent with age, while remaining structurally sound and visually elegant.
A timeless pair that works beautifully in classic, European-inspired, or layered eclectic interiors.
