Pop Art Sink Scene – Painting on Paper
This bold and playful pop art painting was created by Susan Champagne, a student of Louisiana artist and educator Richard Boneno. Boneno was a beloved local figure who began the first scheduled art class in the St. John Parish school system in 1954, later teaching at East St. John High School until retirement. His legacy includes exhibiting with the Baton Rouge Art Guild and publishing widely on school art projects.
This unframed painting on paper is signed by the artist and marked on the back as a Pop Painting. It features a colorful sink against a pink striped backdrop, rendered in vibrant color blocks and confident black outlines — a distinctly modern, graphic style. Measuring just under 18" x 12", it would be a standout addition to a gallery wall or a striking pop of color on its own.
There is minor wear along the edges, typical for unframed paper works, but this can easily be concealed with framing.
