This stunning pair of pale green opaline glass vases dates to the early 20th century, when the Art Nouveau movement was flourishing across Europe. Hand-blown in France between 1900 and 1920, these vases embody the organic elegance and romanticism of the era. Their soft, milky green hue and ruffled rims evoke the delicate forms of blooming flowers—hallmarks of Art Nouveau’s celebration of nature.

Each vase features a beautifully fluid silhouette with a gently tapered body and flared, crimped rim. The underside of both pieces bears the telltale “glass break” scar left from the pontil rod—a mark of true hand-blown craftsmanship and a signature detail in antique opaline pieces. Rather than a flaw, this mark signals authenticity and connects these vases to a long tradition of artisan glassmaking.

At over 11 inches tall, they make a bold and graceful statement whether styled as a centerpiece or displayed on a mantel. Their ethereal glow and sculptural form invite a sense of poetry into the room—an invitation to slow down and savor beauty.

These rare vases are nearly identical to documented smaller piece retailing for $469 each.

Dimensions: 11.25" tall x 5.25" wide

Good Condition with beautiful signs of age and authenticity. Both vases retain pontil marks on the base, typical of hand-blown glassware from the early 20th century. There are faint remnants of what was likely a gilded rim along the top edge—now softly worn with time. Light bubbling and subtle variations in the glass are present throughout, consistent with the artisanal nature of opaline production.
