A timeless statement piece, this midcentury Chinese-style lamp was crafted from a hand-thrown porcelain vase and adorned with hand-painted floral motifs in a serene palette of blues, greens, soft yellows, and red accents. Gilded touches shimmer across the surface, adding subtle elegance to the botanical scene that wraps the entire form.
Unlike many vintage vases of this style, which taper narrowly, this piece features a broad rounded base that gracefully transitions into a slimmer neck. A band of ornamental cobalt blue encircles the collar, drawing the eye and emphasizing its unique silhouette. The neck is topped with classic brass fittings, true to the era’s design.
Set on a black wooden base and paired with a classic linen lampshade and decorative finial, this lamp is both functional and sculptural. At 29.5" tall and 9" wide (at widest part of lamp), it’s perfectly scaled for an occasional table, desk, or reading nook.
