French Faux Bamboo Mirror – c. 1880s–1890s
A charming antique French faux bamboo mirror dating to the late 19th century. Crafted in the popular bamboo revival style, this piece features turned wood designed to imitate bamboo, a motif beloved in France during the Aesthetic and Japonisme movements.
Note: Second image shows the actual mirror.
The frame bears scattered wormholes — a hallmark of genuine antique European furniture — along with a few light paint drips that could be removed, though we love the patina they add. The original mirror glass has mild surface scratches, and hanging hardware is intact and ready to use. A soulful, timeworn piece perfect for layered interiors.
