Behind the Brand: How Thyme to Acquire Took Root
Some of the best stories start in the in-between places — in the packing and unpacking, the rearranging, the starting over. Thyme to Acquire began in those exact moments.
During my husband’s years in medical school, our little family moved often — from the warm streets of Miami to the lush hills of Dominica to the snow-covered sidewalks of Chicago. With three little ones and a love for old things, I found myself rebuilding our home again and again. Each new space became a blank canvas, and every flea market find or thrifted treasure helped me create something that felt rooted, even when we weren’t.
I’ve always believed that a home should tell a story — not just of who you are, but of where you’ve been and what you love. My background in Art History and Ceramics gave me a deep appreciation for texture, patina, and the imperfect beauty of handmade or timeworn things. I learned how to layer pieces with intention, how to create warmth with plants and lighting, and how to turn even the simplest corner into a place that feels alive.
Over time, friends began asking for help styling their own spaces — and eventually, their events. What started as a personal passion slowly bloomed into a brand with a name: Thyme to Acquire. A nod to both the things we gather and the moments we grow into.
Today, Thyme to Acquire is more than just a styling service or vintage shop. It’s a love letter to soulful spaces — to homes that feel layered and lived-in, to celebrations that reflect your spirit, and to the idea that beauty doesn’t need to be perfect or new to be meaningful.
Whether you're here to find that one perfect piece, bring new life to a room, or style an event that feels like you — I’m so glad you’re here.
Thanks for following along, supporting small dreams, and believing in the magic of the little things.
